2021-2022 Concert Series
During what has certainly been an interesting year, your Concert Association Board of Directors has been working to try to better understand the status of the Association and of a potential 2021-2022 Concert Series. After finding it necessary to cancel concert dates, we have finally been able to reschedule Ball in the House from the end of the 2019-2020 season as well as the entire 2020-2021 offerings.
However, there is not much that is certain. Critical aspects of the season such as the availability of the Canon High School Auditorium or other venues are unknown. We are looking at the proposed dates as just that – proposals. Again, most of our touring performers appear at venues including those in other Colorado communities; their availability could impact our schedule. While we are in a period of uncertainty —
WE ARE PLANNING TO HOST CONCERTS.
To keep you informed of events, we will use Facebook. We have established an e-mail capability to communicate directly with you. As you review the offerings so far, you will agree that there is reason to be excited about the 2021-2022 Concert Series, bringing concerts featuring internationally known artists for your enjoyment.
We have been able to reschedule BALL IN THE HOUSE as our opening concert. This exciting vocal band brings their special brand of music combining R&B, Soul and Pop that entertains all ages.
BRANDEN & JAMES will be our next performers. Led by the golden-voiced tenor/pianist, Branden James (an America’s Got Talent finalist) is paired with the talented Australian James Clark on cello and a fine pianist as the third member of the wonderful New York-based trio. Presenting the best of Broadway, the Great American Songbook, some good old rock ‘n roll and perhaps an operatic aria or two. you should be delighted with the quality of musicianship, showmanship and professionalism.
Next on our national offerings is Barron Ryan. Barron is a virtuoso pianist and a charming entertainer who loves to perform. His classical training shines through as he performs Ragtime, Stride and Boogie-Woogie favorites, intermingling them with some divine classical standards and a pop tune or two. Barron comes to us from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Will Martin, a charming, young New Zealand-based crooner/pianist with bass and drums will transport you back to the best of Broadway, the Swing era, your favorite pops standards and a bit of rock ‘n roll.
Accordion wizard Alex Meixner is joined by his talented guitarist as he returns to Cañon City to offer an energetic, fun-filled performance. Alex knows how to make his instrument sing and dance with joy and enthusiasm and brings the audience right along on a musical journey through all kinds of favorite music.
